In the fruit and vegetable sector, one of the following two professional, stainless steel options is usually chosen, both of which can be fitted perfectly to our inspection trolleys:
- Option 1: The compact precision scale (for individual items and size grading) Who it’s for: Ideal if you mainly weigh individual products (such as tomatoes, onions, citrus fruits or melons) to check that they fall within the correct weight category. Features: These models are often available from weighing scale specialists in 3, 6, 15 or 30 kg versions with a precise readout from 1 gram. Thanks to an IP68 protection rating and a 304 stainless steel housing, they are completely waterproof and easy to rinse down. A version with an internal battery eliminates the hassle of cables on your trolley.
- Option 2: The robust platform scale (for full packages and crates) Who it’s for: Ideal for checking the net weight of complete packages, crates or parcels (up to 30 kg or more) and carrying out tare checks quickly. Features: A heavier-duty industrial model with a spacious weighing platform (e.g. 300 × 300 mm or 400 × 400 mm) and a separate stainless steel display. These scales are usually IP67 waterproof (including an encapsulated load cell) and built to withstand the rigours of wet warehouses and fresh produce environments.
